Money Advice Service

A new brand for a completely new organisation offering clear, unbiased money advice. For free.

Our task was to make everyone in the UK aware of a new independent service offering unbiased money advice.

Against the backdrop of difficult economic conditions, we focused on optimism – people can make the most of the money they have. This was expressed through portraits of everyday people supported by a simple look and feel and brand hierarchy. We worked with the brand team and senior management to steer and develop the brand strategy and the visual and verbal identity.

Launching the brand internally

It was crucial to ensure internal buy-in from staff to get the Service off to a flying start. We designed and produced an animated brand sting for plasma screens and stage backdrops for the Chairman and Chief executive to launch the new Service. We produced a welcome pack for all staff, containing top-line information on the new Service, from corporate values and branding to the new intranet.

Environmental graphics

We used bold, simple supergraphics applied to walls and glass dividers to make a big impression. Stripe devices guide visitors around the main areas and meeting rooms are zoned using bright colours and key brand phrases.

The Financial Capability of the UK report

This major new study of changing financial behaviours across the UK reveals that whilst some people are developing positive money habits, half of UK adults are struggling. Our task was to communicate these findings in a powerful and accessible way.

The key to creating reports of this kind is skilful project management, coupled with powerful design. Accuracy and brand compliance are, of course important, but agility of approach is essential. We responded to aggressive timelines and changing requirements to produce a report which delivers readability and ease of use.
