Branding and promotion for a major London music event

A festival in a day

It was the third year in a row that BBC Radio 2 hosted a large-scale live music event in Hyde Park, London. The station wanted to celebrate their best music with one special day of live performances from top international artists. Red Stone’s brief was to make a promotional splash big enough to get the punters along.

Using the station’s key colours, we developed a sun-drenched call to action for the event. We created the strapline ‘a festival in a day’, added the all-star line-up and took the message to the audience through posters, tube panels, flags and an animated sting on TV.

The last minute addition of a solo set by Gary Barlow ensured it became much-talked about, with the largest audience yet for such an event.
